A Whole New Year...

Hello! Guess what? It's 2012. How did that happen? Sheesh.

Life on the farm is good. Well, we don't actually live on a farm, but kind of wish we did. But life in the condo is also good. Mostly we are just living the non-exciting, but good life. Here are some tidbits from the Konie chronicles for you to munch on while you avoid doing whatever it is you are supposed to be doing:

  • C-monkey is great. Do we say that a lot? Well, it's true. She is as eager, determined, and fierce as ever. After a rough last week (stupid cold keeping her from breathing well while sleeping), she is finally starting to sleep through the night consistently. Let's just hope (and pray, cross our fingers, and pray some more) that I didn't just jinx it by "putting it out there."
  • C has FOUR more teeth that all came in around the same time. (Making the whole sleep thing even more difficult.) Her top four teeth are all cut through (the second one on the right just barely).
  • C likes to bathe. And splash water. And splash some more.
  • C is also getting more and more stable and independent in her walking ways. She hasn't taken steps on her own yet, but she can walk like a champ with very little help with only one hand.
In non-C news (wait, what? There is such a thing?)

  • I started teaching again... just one class that is twice a week in the morning. It's an LMA class, which is really one of my favorite classes to teach. The only downside is the 8 in the morning thing. (Did I mention last week was rough with the whole sleep thing? Yeah, really rough.)
  • Tom and I have been taking A LOT of online classes in photoshop and photography. It's been fun to gain some new skills. We've been saving up for a new camera and will hopefully be getting it soon (the one we want is currently out of stock nationwide.... not that I called every dealer in Utah and Chicago.)
  • Speaking of Chicago, we head out TOMORROW. Any prayers and good thoughts our way for a baby who will SLEEP somewhere other than her crib will be most appreciated. But we are excited to see Tom's family. I think it will be a good trip.
Yep. That's about it. Told you it was boring. But just in case you had thought about going back and doing whatever it is you are supposed to be doing, here are a few pics and a VIDEO* to prove: 1. That C is cute. and 2. That she likes to splash (and have stuff all over her face).

Loves and hugs.

*Let's be honest, this is one of those videos that probably on my parents, Tom's parents, and maybe a few of our siblings will enjoy. :)
