We love you! Wish we were closer to celebrate with you.

Many months later....

Holy Moly! It's been a while since I've updated this blog. What can I say? Now that I blog for a living, I just rather not do it for a hobby. But for the one person who may still meander to this space, we are alive. And happy.

D-Boy is 9 months old. Close to 10. He's crawling, cruising along furniture, eating up a storm, still waking up too much at night (that's my kids' specialties) and just overall awesome. He's a calm kid, unless you aren't quick enough to put more food on his plate. Then he turns into the hulk. Man, I love him. He's made our family complete.

C-Monkey is wonderful. She turned 3 in March and is just so much fun. And exhausting. But so fun. Her personality kills me (in a good way). Her little voice, her mannerisms, hand gestures, and ability to rationalize her way at any moment. She's a ray of sunshine.

Tom and I are doing good. Business is really good. Always changing, but really good. We're just saving up for a down payment (again) to buy a home next year (again). We're grateful to have a wonderful family renting our condo, and wish we could move sooner, but because we're self employed we'll just have to be patient. It's not my best quality, but I'm working on it. :)

Too much to catch up on, so I'll just leave you with some adorable pics of my kids. Come back in another 10 or so months for another thrilling update. (ahem.)

Oh yeah, and I had a baby....

Obviously I've neglected this blog for quite some time. Which it too bad because a lot has happened since the last post. And I'm not feeling particularly ambitious to give a in-depth post, so it's another bullet list addition. Ready?

  • We moved! We survived. It's nice being in a home with a garage. It's nice not living on the third floor. It's nice having a basement for Cami to play in (even if it's currently occupied by my brother for a little bit). It's nice to be in a quiet neighborhood, closer to family, and all that jazz. But we definitely miss our fabulous neighbors and some of the other things about our condo. It was a wonderful first "home" for us and we feel very blessed.
  • Tom's mom came in town for a visit! She was great helping out with Cami (spoiling her) and being generally awesome. Always sad to say "goodbye."
  • Oh yeah, and we had a baby!

Baby D Konie
Born August 3, 2013
12:00 A.M.
7 lbs 14 oz.
21 1/2" long

The labor was SO much better than last time. If you enjoy birth stories you can read his here.

I'm on my laptop right now which means I don't have access to all the pics we have of our little babe. But luckily Tom dumped all of his mom's photos onto this computer before she left so I can still leave you with some adorableness and other randomosities from the past month or so.  Enjoy:

Just a few hours old.

Yay for grandmas.

Photo Dump and Catch Up

Apparently I'm not very good at blogging. Or at least blogging here. (Considering that somehow I became a "professional" blogger this year... that's not a real job, is it? Apparently so.) But there are things going on, and I have a bunch of random pics from Tom's phone so here I am with a pretty lame post. But at least it's an update, right? Right.

What's new at our house: Bullet list edition

  • Tom quit is job in April! Considering that he really hated his job, and that I've been trying to get him to quit for months, this has been great. We both work from home now. For the most part it's fantastic. We are still trying to figure out a rhythm with work, C, and all that jazz... but it's also hard since we know everything will change again when Baby #2 comes and it's easy to get a little stir crazy in our little condo... but luckily:
  • We are moving. This week. It's been crazy fast, and we are both excited and sad. Excited to get a change of atmosphere, have a little more space (eventually since my brother will be living with us for a while), and have a garage! Big thanks to my grandparents for letting us move into their cute little home.
  • This means we are also in the process of getting renters. Which means keeping our home really clean (which, let's be honest, I'm crazy and it usually is clean) while trying to move at the same time.... with a toddle... and a mom/wife who is VERY pregnant and tired.
  • And that leads up to our last bullet: The baby! I'm 36+ weeks along, hoping he comes early BUT not until after we move. This pregnancy has been much more difficult than my first (but still nothing compared to what some woman bear... and probably with much less whining, too) and this kid is going to be huge. And I'm huge. And I can't wait to meet him. And not be pregnant. And not be so swollen and uncomfortable.
PLEASE COME EARLY, BABY!!!!!

(and yes, I realize that by putting this "out there" he will come 2 weeks late. As a warning, don't come by me if that's the case. I probably won't be very nice.)

Photo dump: Tom's phone edition

And now I leave you with some pictures off of Tom's phone. Let's be honest, they are mostly of C monkey. And most of them are blurry because the girl never holds still. She is a mover and shaker. And we love her. Can't wait to see her in her newest role of big sister.

Mini Bowling

She picked out the hat.

And this one.

And this boat.

She loves to help Grandma in the garden.

Yo.

This girl LOVES to drive.

And fly airplanes.

P.S. Tom and C always do fun things when I'm not around... like checking out airplanes.

Love these guys.

And then they witnessed a rescue.

She like Uncle Tay's drums.

And she's pretty good.

C and cousin A loving the carts at Macey's.

And the "kiddie" size ice cream. (Seriously)

So good.

Her first In-N-Out burger. (So healthy, I know.)

Helping Dad do the shopping.

Parade of Homes. (She loves the blue booties).

"Oh hello."

Watching the horses during church.

"Horsies!"

Cow goes "mooooo."

Mini bowling again.

Already golfing.

Yes, she's usually a blur. That's our reality.

See. Blurry.

She always wants to put this on when visiting the GPs.

Chillin' with Uncle Ry.

Yay for little people!
