Today I am grateful for the opportunity I had to peer inside my womb and see this perfect healthy little baby!
Everything looks great, and the sonographer was super excited we were doing a home birth. He was a cool guy with some fun stories. He's been doing this for 21 years, and for the past 5 or 6 years he's been working with midwives, including my awesome team from Better Birth. He explained how his own views of birth, parenting, and life have changed from working with these women, and this is a man who spent most of his career in hospitals. "They are the most intelligent people I know when it comes to birth. You are in good hands." It was another confirmation that this is such a good fit for us. He made me even more excited for the experience ahead!
And, yes I did find out the gender. Tom, however, still wants to be surprised when Chaos comes out. I'm not telling a lot of people right now. We have a lot of family parties coming up, and with my huge extended family I'm worried someone will slip. After Christmas I will tell more people, but for now it's a secret. :o)

wowza! I'm always so amazed at how advanced ultra sounds are!! You can totally see the baby's face! Crazy! I love it!
The day I had my first ultrasound with Creamie was one of the best of my life. It was absolutely amazing to see her little life in action inside me. Such a beautiful thing. It was also that day I found out that she would look exactly like me. No one believed me. But I could tell she had my nose, and I knew she'd look just like me!
Congrats on a healthy little baby! I am so excited for you!
