Preface:
The title of this blog has absolutely nothing to do with me being pregnant. Period.
Introduction:
Once upon a time there was a princess named Robin who was very fortunate to work for a placed called BYU. And although she often complained about some of her responsibilities (and the sometimes "odd" culture of the institution), she felt blessed to work with great people, and loved being able to dance on a daily basis.
However, deep in her heart, Princess Robin knew that this was not to be her permanent home of careering (totally a word). No, deep down she knew that she needed to heed her dreams of creating an amazing center for dance and wellness. Having confirmation of the spirit, and support from her AMAZING (and sexy) husband, Robin decreed that on the 1st day of October she would inform her current employers of her decision to leave her position at the end of the current school year.
Chapter One: Sleepless Nights
The weeks leading up to October 1st were fairly normal. Robin, still confident in her decision, continued to work and enjoy life. However, each night Robin was tormented with very unusual jaw pain. She woke up to find her eyes tired and her face pained. Confused, she wondered if she had recently developed a teeth grinding habit unbeknownst to herself. She researched some relaxing exercised and prayed for a miracle.
On Monday, the 28th day of September, Robin was attempting to go to bed. Exhausted by her inability to sleep well for many days now, Robin broke down at the thought of another restless night. Luckily for her, her wonderful husband provided a much needed blessing. Immediately the answer became clear.
Our dear Robin was feeling subconscious stress at the thought of relaying her decision to leave BYU. Wanting to get rest, she directly went to her computer and wrote a letter informing her employer of her decision. She emailed it, prayed, and went to bed.
No more pain. The night was great. Our hero got rest!
Chapter Two: Moving Forward
The message was received in the best possible manner. Hugs were given. And now our Robin friend is excited and anxious at the new adventure that awaits her (well, not for another 9 months or so... again, not pregnant!) By this time next year, there will be a new kingdom where many can come and learn and grow.
Chapter Death: Crying Babies
In unrelated news, last night Princess Robin was giving a calling as the assistant nursery leader. She is now accepting sympathies.
The moral of this story is twofold:
1. We have a loving God who is aware of our needs and helps us achieve our dreams.
2. We have a loving God with a good sense of humor. Don't ever say "As long as they don't put in the nursery." If you do, you're guaranteed to get that calling.

Just get pregnant, that would be esier. LOL :0)
Congrats on your new business adventure! You'll be great!
Nursery is fun! Sometimes gross. But fun!
Congrats on starting your new business soon! That will be so awesome!
You'll do amazing in a new business, how could you not.
And nursery is a blast. Com'on, 5 minute lessons on how we're thankful for fish, snacks, and play time! If you're lucky nap time too! It's the perfect combo.
I think Nursery is the best calling in the church!! You will have a blast, I'm sure of it. Again, congrats on the new business adventure, I'm excited to hear more about it!
First, congrats on the careering (i agree-totally a word) change!
Second, don't hate your calling too much. I am SOOSOOSOO grateful for Abby's nursery leaders. Thanks to them she knows what scriptures are and can sing about 25 church songs. She also reminds me to pray at breakfast, lunch, and about 5 other various times during the day when i am apparently not doing things right. Not to mention Abby now jumps for joy to go to nursery and "play with the kids" while I actually get to hear the RS lesson. God bless those 4 wonderful grandmothers!!!
