Through my head...

I've been working with a woman for the past few weeks, doing some movement therapy to help her with some personal issues. I came into work early to meet up with her, but she had to cancel at the last minute. So now I find myself with some time to send some random thoughts into cyberspace.

And random they will be:

1. I love fall. Most people seem to. It's a nice change from the sometimes oppressive weather of summer. And who doesn't like sweaters, hoodies, and cuddling up to stay warm? Of course the coming of fall means we are one day closer to winter, which I don't love. But I am really going to try and at least like winter this year.

2. I've been doing a lot of reading lately... nerd books. Anatomy, physiology, and other body-work books. I can't get enough. I find the human body so amazing, beautiful, and capable when it is approached in healthy and holistic ways. I can't wait to continue working with others in helping them find the joy of being inside their body.

3. I've written a business plan. And yes, that means I'm starting my own business. Next fall. BYU doesn't know yet. I am planning on telling them in the next few weeks, and hoping they don't read this blog. I've enjoyed my time there, and definitely want to leave on good terms, but I am so thrilled about this new adventure.

4. I am mad at chairs. Most chair in the world (yes, even many of the ergonomic "wonders") only promote bad posture while decreasing core support and natural breathing processes. This is ridiculous. Maybe when I'm rich I will create a chair that is body friendly AND doesn't cost a million dollars. In the meantime, I am sitting in my own chairs in new and unfamiliar ways. It's taking some time, but I feel better already.

5. I love my husband. I know it's cheesy, but he's great. And I'm so lucky to have him.

6. I make a killer white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. Seriously, it's awesome. If you're lucky, maybe I will make it for you sometime. :)

Can I be lucky and have some of your white chocolate raspberry cheesecake?
I'm weak for white chocolate raspberry sweets.

So if we come to your house next week will there be a sampling of said cheesecake? (she asked hopefully with raised eyebrows and a flutter of her lashes)

Yay for starting your own business! I wish you the best of luck, no doubt you will do great! If you send me some cheesecake, I'll make some peanut butter chocolate balls and send them to you. Probably not as good as your cheesecake, but I'll do anything for a bite of cheese cake right now!! :)
