Bosom Buddies

It's October!  I love, love, LOVE this month. I love the crisp air in the morning. I love that it doesn't get ridiculously hot during the day. I love that I get to celebrate my anniversary to my amazing husband. I love Fall.

It's been an eventful week in the Konie world.

C-monkey turned six months last Sunday (the 25th!). She had her 6 month appointment and is healthy, growing, and vibrant! Here are her stats:  Weight: 14 lbs 5 oz (21%) and Height: 23.75 in (uh... 2%). She's our cute little shorty.

I'm "this close" to finishing my new website: www.movementhasmeaning.com. I'm hoping to get it up live by Wednesday at the latest. I'm really excited by this project, mostly because it's turned into more than just "me." I've contacted some of my favorite colleagues from the IMS program to jump on board. A project is always more fun, fulfilling, and likely to get done when you bring other people to the mix. I've also showed it to the director of the IMS program and she was super excited about it. I'm hoping it can bring the LMA system out into general knowledge a little bit more. You should check it out... but not until Wednesday or else you can't see it. :)

Tom has been something of a gimp the past few days. He had some "things" frozen off his feet this week... and well, you know Tom. He doesn't do anything unless it's "all the way." He told the doctor to give it all he had... and now he has these HUGE (seriously SO BIG) blood blisters all over his feet. He can't really walk. So I kind of feel like I've been taking care of two kids this weekend. But the silver lining is that Tom spent all day Saturday on his laptop proof reading my website for me. So it works out.

I've also been able to meet up with some old friends and co-workers this past week. That always makes me happy. I had lunch with Pat and Amy Lou on Wednesday... happy times. But the best was on Friday when my very own "bosom buddy" (thank you, Anne Shirley) came for a visit:

Yay for Becky B! I love this girl. I consider myself pretty lucky to still be so close to my very first friend I ever had. And despite the fact that this woman has traveled and lived across the globe, no matter how much times passes in between our visits it always feels like we still live a block away when we visit. She is just one of the most genuine, happy, and lovely people that I know. So good to see her, and it was so fun for C to meet her!

And finally, last night C was unusually fussy, refusing to eat a bit, and saying "no" to her pacifier. I had a hunch to what might be going on... and sure enough, her first tooth is working its way through the gum. Baby milestone, for sure!

That's all for today! Hope you are all well!  Happy Conference weekend. (Another bonus to the whole October thing!)

I send you off with two pics of a messy girl in love with hummus.
