These Summer Days...

Hello, friends.

Today is one of those days where I feel like I have lots going on in my head, but when I sit down to write them not much comes out. Oh well.

We've had some fun things going on:

-Tom's mom is out visiting for the week. Always good to see family that we don't see very often. (And it's usually good to see family we do see very often. Tee hee.... just kidding.)

- I've decided to teach a very little bit at BYU this Fall. It's only twice a week for 1 1/2 hours, but it will get me dancing and teaching again, which is wonderful. And, as a bonus, it's during a time where hopefully Baby C will be napping and Tom will be home. A little extra income. A little more "me" time. A little more daddy-daughter time. No babysitters. And no added baggage of extra meetings, administrative responsibilities, or any of the other stuff that drove me away from BYU before. Yay!

- Finally, C is getting bigger, happier, and more fun every day. She loves to talk to herself for a good hour in her crib before FINALLY going down for a nap. She likes to squeal, coo, practice her Chewbacca impersonation (seriously), and roll ALL AROUND the crib. She also loves to stick her legs and arms through the slats and play with her hands and feet outside of the crib. She will entertain herself for a long time. It's pretty hilarious. (See video below for proof of her talking self.)   (Note: For those who may think me a bad mom who just sticks her kid in a crib for a few hours, please know that if I try to play with her during this same time she gets really fussy and mad. She apparently needs her own "alone" time before going to sleep. She is a very independent soul, for sure.)

Here are some pics and a short video. There's not much to see as I was trying to be sneaky and it was dark. Make sure the sound is on and be a little patient, it's fun. Promise.
