Today I am grateful for friends, especially those people who I don't get to see very often, but who still mean a lot to me. I was able to meet up with some old roommates--some of the coolest girls I've had the pleasure of knowing. I also got a really random and hilarious email from an old schoolmate from back during my elementary days. It made me think of some fun times from many, many years ago.
Today was also a day to reflect on other childhood friends as one dear friend had to say goodbye to her husband who passed away this week. Despite years of not seeing one another, I felt heartbroken at the news. I can't imagine what she's going through, but the outpouring love that I witnessed for her family from so many is a reminder that there is always a connection between friends.
