Attitude of Gratitude

I love November.   The weather is usually mild, but crisp and cool enough to feel free from the hot oppression of summer.  The mountain are beautiful with their half-winter/half-fall look.  And then there is Thanksgiving.  I seriously don't think there is a more perfect holiday.  It's my personal favorite.  It has done better than most holidays to avoid the commercialized garbage.  There's no gifts to buy, or crowded malls to survive.  It's about giving thanks, family, and good food.  What could be better?

Absolutely nothing.

I'm making a goal for this month, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, to take a moment and reflect on something I grateful for each day.  I figure if I do it here, and put it "out there," that it might actually get done.

Today I am grateful for a lot of things, but I think I'd like to start with my husband.  I don't feel the need to go into a laborious list of why I am grateful for Tom, especially in such a public forum.  But I do want to focus on how extremely blessed I am to have such a wonderful, caring, funny, supportive, adventurous, helpful man in my life.  Someone who truly is my best friend... who lets me be me to my fullest extent and thinks I'm beautiful, funny, and attractive even at my ugliest moments.

Thanks, Tom!  I am grateful for you and all you do for our family!

Got to love that ugly hat.  Oh yeah!
