Catching Up

I'm not very good about updating this blog.  Lots going on, and yet from my perspective it seems so much like the same thing over and over.  Perhaps I will follow in the steps of my sister and just do some bullet points:

  • Life, in general, is good.  I am healthy and happy and blessed.
  • Despite being good, it seems like a lot of people I love and care about are going through some rough times, and that is always hard to witness.  Although, through it all, I've continued to witness miracles.  Here's hoping everyone is on the up and up.
  • Despite being good, I am also really stressed.  I don't usually feel stressed.  I feel busy often, but not stressed.  As I move forward with all the business planning, raising funds, finding locations, and pretty much putting it all on the line, however, I am beginning to feel some stress.  I'm optimistic about the future, but there are my moments where I have a silent "freak out episode" in my mind.  "What am I thinking!?  Leaving my secure job with great benefits to open a business that may fail!?"
  • Despite being stressed, I really am excited about the business.  If I can make it pass these next few hurdles (including the first few months when we see just how well it goes), I think I've made the best decision for me (and my family).
  • The semester is coming to a quick end--which is strange knowing it is my last one.  (Well, technically I am teaching a class Spring Term, but it will be good to get a little extra money for our unknown future).  I am so grateful for my time at BYU, but I am also so grateful for that time to be ending.
  • Tom and I are heading to Chicago this week for his brother's wedding.  We are excited to see his family (and to get away for a few days).
  • I really like ice cream.... probably more than any person should.
And because all posts are better with a picture, here is a random one for your enjoyment.

Best blog, ever.  Right?

OH!  And if you are in the Utah County area, I am putting on a workshop that will be great.  Check it out here.  (And enter the contest!)

Yay for bullet lists. :)

I'm glad you are good. And I'm praying for things to work out splendidly with the business.

Oh and have fun in Chicago! :)

Loves and hugs.
